I am totally flattered by the bloggers who awarded me with these awards!  I can’t even tell you how awesome it makes me feel! Blogging takes a lot of time (at least it does me) and to think that you guys take time out of your busy day to read my little blog, well, I am just blown away by it!

Now it is time for some of you to do the same!!  The Versatile Blogger Award & the One Lovely Blog Award goes to…{insert drumroll here}

I received the One Lovely Blog award from  Alyce @ Mrs. Bartel’s School Family
and Michelle @

Thank you so much!
Ladies, don't forget to grab both awards, repost, and pass on!
Because of the ridiculous amount of time it has taken me to do this post, I am giving the One Lovely Blog award to the same blogs that received the V.B Award! The O.L.B. Award also goes to Cherie @ The {Mis}adventures of First Grade!

Last but not least, my good blog friend
created a NEW award! She awarded me the

I was so touched and honored!  I helped her out in the beginning, but now she is on to creating awards and HTML codes and who knows what else! I definitely can’t take the credit for that!
I would like to give this award to one of the first bloggers that helped me… Jenny @
Jenny emailed me the code to put in my comments to create a link back to my blog {I don’t even know what that’s called! I’m sure she and Cherie do!} But anyways, she worked so hard to get it just right for me.  We went on to have our first giveaway together.  I think she is wonderful and if you don’t know either of these 2 girls, go meet them!!
I guess i get to make up the rules for this award since i am the 1st recipient!
1. Thank the person who gave it to you. {duh, like you wouldn't}
2.  Give it to someone who helped you learn the blogging ropes!

This is truly the longest time I’ve ever spent on one post, I’ve totally got out of this chair!
Good Day!
Thanks Jackie!

  1. I have a scar on my arm from where basal cell cancer was removed. My doctor told me to expect more of that as I grow older, and I've been pretty good about my skin too. Now I'm really good about it! I cringe when I see sunbathers and sunburns and hear people talking about their tans. Seriously people isn't not worth it!

    1. I just had my 3rd spot removed. My favorite thing is to float around in the pool... :( But now I wear 50 spf and if it will keep me from having any more holes cut in my body then it is worth it!

  2. Just found your darling blog!! I love to float around in the pool, but while I am floating I always wonder if it is worth it.

  6. Dana, you are so kind! I wish I knew what that thingy is called...Let's call it a link-back coderama!Sorry about your stiches. I'm very careful NOW, but have done too much sun worshiping in the past!

    1. I like that- a link-back coderama. it has a nice ring to it! Whatever it is, I am grateful! That's the first thing I did for Cherie (the {mis}adventures of first grade)after she asked me a question about something entirely different.

    2. I live in arizona... the sun and I are NOT friends. I HATE the sun and being outside. Maybe that's why I am so pale, and my poor half mexican baby is just as pale! haha. BTW... Dora is giving me a lesson on sunscreen as we speak!

      I second the a link-back coderama! I've almost got it memorized so that I don't have to open up my email, find it, and cut and paste. I was going to save it in word on my desktop, but my computer is mean and word takes forever to open. :/

    3. I am impressed that you have that memorized!

  7. Awww! Thank you so much!

    So sorry about the carcinoma! I'm guilty of slathering sunscreen all over the kids and forgetting to coat myself. I must change that!

    And I love the e-card - it really should count, shouldn't it? I've learned more from the blogging world lately than I have from most professional development sessions!

    1. That's exactly what I thought when I saw the e-card. I thought about all that I've learned in the past few months and compared that to some in services I've been to. tTere is no contest!

  8. Thank you for the award! I will make my passing it on post soon. I have another one to pass still, too! haha They DO take forever. I love them, but it's hard to find 15 that don't have it! I think we should re-rule. Like 5. ;) THANK YOU AGAIN!

    1. I so agree Cherie!!! I think 15 is a bit much! I've been searching all day and have only found 7 so far. Every new blogger I find already has it. It is fun though and I'm getting to read a lot of blogs!!

  9. Dana,

    I am here to visit your New Blogger Tuesdays that you invited me to today, but haven't made it there yet? I saw in the post that you thanked someone for providing the code to put in your comments to create a link back to your blog! I have so been trying to figure this out!!! Can you share this tip?? I would greatly appreciate it!
