Now for Monday Made It…

I had a busy week and didn’t get a lot of things made.  I did meet with my 1st Grade team and we made LOTS of plans for back to school.  We are going to make our own grade books, redo our homework & base it on STAR homework from Whole Brain Teaching, adopt a new behavior system- the clip chart system, and so many more wonderful things that I just can’t think of right now…. I made us a clip chart that follows the behavior consequences our entire school follows.  We needed a few more steps below green than what any I found on line had.

From top to bottom it says, My Day (very top), Outstanding, Great Job, Good Job, Ready to Learn, Warning, Slow Down, Think About It, Write & Reflect, Principal
I would also like to share a website I found useful.  I found it on Brigid’s Daily Lesson Log
You enter a title, genre, or topic and it will generate you a list of books based on your search words.  You can also enter a specific book and it will give you suggestions on books similar to the one you entered.  Try it, it’s awesome!
This week I will be in Missouri at the Whole Brain Teaching Conference, so expect a post or two on WBT soon!
Have a great week!!
