Made it Monday #5

I am in love with Rick Morris’ clip chart for behavior management!  He has an ebook which is about 20 pages and is truly a breeze to read.  It is titled Clip Chart: A Simple Discipline Strategy for Promoting Positive Behavior.  I learned SO much from this book.  If you use this system or are thinking about using it and haven’t read the book, I strongly urge you to do so!  There are several free (and not free) clip chart signs to download on TpT.  I saved some time and used a free one from Jessica at Under the Alphabet.  Click HERE to go to her store.  She has a wonderful student monthly calendar to use with it HERE
Here is mine.  I am going to use tiny clothes pins for their names.

I also worked on a display for student work.  I have a big huge bulletin board in my classroom that is perfect for student work.  I used 12x12 scrapbook paper and these cute little clips I found at Michael’s. The pics don’t show it, but the clips are mirrored flowers & the paper is brightly colored.  I laminated the paper and hot glued the clips (4 for $1) in the top center.  Work can be clipped landscape or portrait and still have a border around it.  I don’t have then on my bb yet, because I am waiting to see how many students I have. HOPEFULLY, they will all fit…

There is one more thing I fell in love with this week.  I didn’t “make” it ( just designed it) but I need to share it with you! I recently discovered a company called May Books through a friend’s Facebook page.  Company founder, Mica May was tired of having ugly notebooks, so with her background in design, she created cute notebooks for herself.  Others saw her notebooks and wanted one.  BOOM- May Books was born!  So for all my pattern and font obsessed friends, click HERE to go to their website, but first, prepare to be amazed!

They have many designs to choose from.  The best part is, you actually build your notebook online.  Every change you make is visible so you can see what it will look like!  You also have options for the pages inside: blank, academic calendar, regular calendar, graph pages, recipe pages, baby diary, wedding diary, and many more!  Mine arrived today! I choose the academic calendar to use at school.  Even the shipping package is adorable!photo (16)
