2.                 Why did you start blogging?
In essence I am a people person and I love the way there is such a community spirit in sharing ideas and resources.  I knew I had to contribute to this network.

3.                 Tell us a little about your teaching background.
I started teaching in 2000, in Brisbane, Queensland my first class was a 1, 2, 3 class.  I have taught in a small 3 teacher school in the country, big schools in the city and always had composite or multi age classes.  I have taught in Queensland ( Ipswich- and Townsville), Melbourne, Victoria and I am currently teaching at a rural school in NSW in a 2/3 class.  I love that I have taught in so many schools, it really helps me relate to being the “new kid” in class and I have gathered so many fabulous ideas from around the country as well as many friends.

4.                  What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
(Some of these are Aussie songs so some of you may not know them)
Somewhere over the rainbow- Judy Garland version.  This has always been my favourite song of all time and reminds me of being a child.  Brown eyed girl- Van Morris- another favourite!!!  This song always gets me up dancing.  Flame Trees by Cold Chisel, this is a song about heading to Northern Australia a place close to my heart.  (I miss QLD)  Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden, our wedding song (:  Anything by Bon Jovi!!!!

5.                 What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Kiss my husband goodbye and watch my children cry as he left for his deployment to Afghanistan ):  (kisses to him, stay safe baby)- he is home in 22 days (:

6.                 What’s your favorite TV show?
I have to admit this is one of my addictions- I have just finished watching 2nd series Game of Thrones so this is my favourite at the moment, but when Supernatural comes back for its 8th season that will be my favourite.

7.                  Are you a Times New Roman or DJ Inkers kind of girl and why?
DJ Inkers- I have just recently discovered this site and love, love, love it.  I have started collecting fonts like crazy.  I think we all need a bit of colour and style in our lives and this is just another way to get it.

8.                 Number of candles that appeared on your last birthday cake?
I love birthdays!  39 candles on my last birthday adding 1 more in 3 weeks,
            yay

9.                 What was the last book you read?
I just finished the last book in the series A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin.  I couldn’t wait to finds out what happened in the TV series (Game of Thrones) so I read all 5 books.  So I know what happens…hehe

10.            What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
So hard to choose- maybe folding and ironing- how can we be so technologically advanced yet still we have clothes that wrinkle?

2.                 Why did you start blogging?
I had a wonderful student teacher last year who introduced me to Pinterest which led me to the blogging world. I couldn’t get enough of blogging! I just had to start my own, with some encouragement of my student teacher Sandra ( *thanks, Sandra!)*

3.                  Tell us a little about your teaching background.
I started teaching right after college, a fresh 23 year old! This will be my 5th year and I’ve only taught kindergarten. I work at an inclusive school that I am so proud to be a part of!

4.                  What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
Oh my goodness! I love this question! I can’t decide on some songs but I know that my soundtracks would include songs from N’Sync (for my teen years), Beyonce, Incubus, Dashboard Confessional, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, the Used, and the Eagles (because they always remind me of my mom)

5.                 What’s the hardest thing you've ever done?
Going through my grandfather’s passing has definitely been the hardest thing I’ve done. My grandparents have always been such an inspiration to me and have always been proud of everything I’ve done. Losing him has been the most challenging on my list of challenges.

6.                 What’s your favorite TV show?
Hmmm…. So You Think You Can Dance, New Girl, Happy Endings, Real Housewives (totally my guilty pleasure)

7.                  Are you a Times New Roman or DJ Inkers kind of girl and why?
DJ Inkers is who I am! I cringe when I see Times New Roman on things other than college papers.

8.                 Number of candles that appeared on your last birthday cake?
Aww man! Really? 27 candles were on my last cake… sigh…

9.                 What was the last book you read?
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling She is so sweet, so clever and so funny! I felt like I was having hilarious girl talk with her as I was reading the book.

10.            What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I dislike doing all chores but if I had to choose… I hate doing dishes, putting away laundry (I love to sort and wash laundry but putting it away is the worst!), and most of all, I hate cleaning the showers!
