Recently, the cool people at LeapFrog asked me to review a few of their products and give you my honest opinions. I was excited, because who doesn't love LeapFrog toys!
This Leap Reader was a lot of fun! This is LeapFrog's first 3-D book. It is recommended for children ages 5-8 years old. The story builds reasoning and logic skills, provides practice identifying nouns & verbs, and teaches positional words.
Your child can choose to have the whole page read to him/her or touch each word individually, with the pen, to have it read. You can even tap the pictures to hear things about the characters!
The LeapPad 2 is like an iPhone for kids. There are apps, a front and rear camera, and music!
While this game, Monsters University, is marketed for children ages 4-7-my 11 year old had a great time with it! In this game, the player works their way through 24 levels-training to be the top scarer. Puzzles, memory games, and the ability to create your own monster are some of the highlights.
5 year old Graham having a blast with the LeapPad2! |
The LeapPad 2 has volume controls, a jack for headphones, and runs on 4 AA batteries. There are many apps on the LeapPad- games, e-books, videos, an art studio and more! A front and rear camera can be used to create characters and other pictures.
