Need a new pen or pencil? Try Pentel!

Who doesn't love a good pen?  There's a certain feeling you get when you pick up a pen and it writes so smoothly that you can't help but think, "Ohhhh this pen MUST become mine!"
Or am I the only one who gets that feeling?  It's such a good, satisfying feeling....
Recently a new Sharpie pen gave me that feeling and I though, "this is the best pen ever".
Well folks- I think I've found one even better.
I know you just gasped, because I did when I first wrote with this Pentel EverGel Pearl Rollerball Retractable Gel Pen.  Long name for a great pen.  Ha!
Seriously though- it is good.
As you can see, I've already put my name on my favorite pen!

I received both the metal tip and the needle tip.
I personally like the metal tip better, but to each his own. :)

I also received the Pentel Twist-Erase Mechanical Pencil.  They both write really well.  I like the thinner lead  because it writes sharper, but it does break easier.  The pencils erase fairly well.  To expose more eraser you twist the end of the pencil and it slides up.

If you've never used before, I highly recommend it for office suppliesoffice stationarypromotional shirts, and promotional products.

Need a new desk chair? Look no further! recently sent me this desk chair to try out and let you all know what I thought of it.....
Well, the verdict is in........I really like it!  The seat is very comfortable and I like that the back is mesh to allow your back to breathe.
This chair is very sturdy and has a lever under the seat to adjust the chair height.
Here is a front view.  The chair is all black and is very solid, even a little heavy!
Here is what you would look like while you're hard at work!

This is probably my favorite feature- the armrests are adjustable!

Simply squeeze the gray buttons to adjust the height.  There are 3 different heights, so you're sure to find just the right one.

If you've never used before, I highly recommend it for office supplies, office stationary, promotional shirts, and promotional products.

The Spectacular Indiana Blogger Meet Up!

Wow!  What a weekend! I've just gotten back from the Indiana blogger meet up and let me tell you, Holly Ehle sure knows how to plan a weekend!  The laughter and fun didn't stop.  From Friday until Sunday brunch-we talked and laughed like crazy! I love meeting other teacher bloggers & stalkers and sharing ideas, tip, and tricks.  I feel like I made 50 new friends over the course of 2 days!
Grand is the best word I can come up with to describe our hotel.  The French Lick Resort and Casino is gorgeous.  This resort was named America's Best Historic Resort by Historic Hotels of America in 2013.  There are two hotels on the property and they each have a fascinating history.  The French Lick Springs hotel was once a place where people came for cleansing from the nearby mineral springs.  You can read about its history {HERE}.  The West Baden Springs Hotel was once called the eighth wonder of the world and has an Atrium that spans 200 feet.  In 1901, the hotel burned to the ground.  It had many owners in the years after this fire and just 30 years ago, this hotel was almost completely in ruins.  You can read about its history {HERE}.  As you'll see from the following pictures, they are both absolutely gorgeous now!

On Friday, I quickly closed up shop at my Scholastic Book Fair and hit the road.  After about 5 hours, of mostly highways and backroads (thanks for that GPS...grrr...), I arrived in French Lick, Indiana.  I found about 12 or so bloggers at the hotel's restaurant, Power Plant.  We visited (a.k.a shouted over the extremely loud live music) for awhile then went to bed.  Saturday morning we met for lunch in one of the hotel's many conference rooms.  Melanie, from Schoolgirl Style, donated tissue poms for the room decorations and printed us the cutest name tags.  Holly and her tireless team of glue gun crazed bloggers worked on those pom flowers long into the night and the room turned out beautifully!

I am a HUGE fan of Mel D. from Suesstastic! I am so glad I had the chance to visit with her and
her teaching partner, Stacey, for a while!
Greg {Smedley's Smorgasboard} and I always have a great time when we get together!

Each person brought their favorite "teacher tool" and exchanged them with others through a fun story written by Amanda Pauley.  Then, the prizes began flowing!  Holly worked very hard securing SO MANY wonderful prizes!  Everyone left with a Vera Bradley bag FULL of goodies!  Companies like Crayola, Erin Condren, Jamberry, Crystal Springs Books, and Scentos were very generous!  There were also Boogie Boards {an LCD eWriter} and a document camera from Hue.  SDE even donated a certificate for a paid tuition to a national conference!!

After all the prizes were given out, we had a round table discussion on Blogging and TpT tips and tricks.  Many bloggers shared awesome ideas and we are going to share those awesome ideas with you in the very near future!
After dinner, we hopped on the trolley
and headed to West Baden Springs Hotel to see the light show at the Atrium.
Then finished the night off with a trip to the French Lick Casino!
On Sunday, those who were still at the hotel met for a buffet breakfast.  Oh my word.  I've never seen a hotel breakfast buffet like this one!  They had everything!  So we ate to our heart's content, posed for one more picture, then hit the road!
Have I mentioned how fabulous this meet up was?!?

Calling All Sharpie Lovers!

When I found out Shoplet was sending me a Sharpie package to review for you guys, I was so excited. I mean, who doesn't love Sharpie?? If you answered, "Me, I don't love Sharpie" then you'll probably want to go read a different post of mine...Try the Dr. Seuss one, it's good.  If you love Sharpie like I do, continue on my friend!
Do you love a good smooth writing pen that feels good in your hand? If yes, then boy do I have the pen for you...
Y'all, this pen is awesome.  It's the Sharpie Premium Pen.  It's current price is $6.13.  Worth. Every. Penny.

When it runs out, you don't have to buy a new one, you just buy a refill!  I honestly can't say enough about this pen.  It's my new favorite of all time.

I also received the Neon Permanent Markers.  These markers are so fun and bright.  They even glow under a blacklight!

They even sent these cool white sunglasses! But when you've got brand new Neon Sharpies and white sunglasses....You have to decorate!!
Sending a shoutout to my little model, Abby! :)

Last but not least, I received a pack of Metallic Permanent Markers.  These were just as fun as the Neon!  I love how they look on black paper!

I can see these really coming in handy!

I loved all these markers.  They all wrote well-solid smooth lines.  It's everything you expect from Sharpie.

Read Across America Linky- Everything Dr. Seuss

Although I haven't been to school yet this week due to snow, I am joining with The Primary Chalkboard today for this Read Across America Linky.  Today's topic is Everything Seuss so I thought I would share with you what I have pictures of so far.
This display is in my library.  If you go from left to right, it tells part of The Cat in the Hat story.

I used these awesome chevron solid display squares from Creative Teaching Press
for the book passages.  Click the image above to see them at CTP.

This is my Thing 1 & Thing 2 crate.

 The lobby display
Thanks to Target for putting these fun paper balls on clearance!

This is the door to my library!

This table was donated to the library from a sweet teacher.  It just needed a little TLC.  I gave it a facelift with an old copy of The Foot Book, 3 coats of Modge Podge, and lots of sealer! This was so fun to make and it looks AMAZING!
Our new reading area...It's got books, magazines, free wi-fi.  All we need is a barista!

I'll post pictures later this week of classroom displays and the Dr. Seuss parade as soon as it all happens...the weather has kind of altered our Dr. Seuss week.  At least we'll get 3 days to celebrate!
